No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, like its Gi-clad counterpart, is founded on the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant through leverage, technique, and the application of joint locks and chokes. However, unlike Gi Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi is practiced without the traditional uniform, allowing practitioners to focus more on body positioning and control.
