Take your first steps into volleyball with this beginner-friendly group class designed for players with little to no prior experience. Played on sand using indoor volleyball rules and gameplay, this class focuses on building fundamental movement skills, developing essential volleyball techniques, and helping you gain confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

This class is suitable for:

Complete beginners with little to no indoor volleyball or beach volleyball experience.
Players who want to learn the fundamentals of indoor volleyball while training on sand.
Anyone looking to build confidence before progressing to higher-level volleyball classes.

In this class, you will focus on:

Developing basic movement skills

Learning how to run, jump, shuffle and lunge efficiently on sand.
Building balance, agility and coordination through sand-based movement drills.

Learning fundamental volleyball techniques

Developing proper passing, setting, attacking (spiking), indoor-style jump approaches, and standing and overhand serving techniques.
Understanding correct body positioning and movement for each fundamental skill.

Improving ball control

Practising controlled forearm passing and consistent overhead setting.
Developing proper hand contact, timing and accuracy when attacking the ball.

Understanding indoor volleyball gameplay on sand

Learning basic court positions, player rotations and team systems used in indoor volleyball.
Applying these skills while adapting to the movement and challenges of playing on sand.

By mastering these fundamentals in a sand environment, you'll develop the movement, ball control and game understanding needed to confidently progress into more advanced indoor or beach volleyball classes.
