Take your beach volleyball skills to the next level through this intermediate group class designed for players who already have a solid foundation in the fundamentals. Build greater confidence in game situations as you develop stronger ball control, learn basic 2v2 strategies and improve teamwork, communication and decision-making on the sand.

This class is suitable for:

Players with good body and ball control who are ready for more game-based training.
New beach volleyball players transitioning from 6v6 or 4v4 indoor volleyball to 2v2 beach volleyball.
Beginner indoor volleyball players looking to learn the fundamentals of beach volleyball.

In this class, you will focus on:

Applying fundamental skills in game situations

Forearm passing, overhand setting, underhand serving, overhand serving and attacking.
Using these techniques consistently during rallies and match play.

Developing basic side-out strategies

Understanding where to pass and set the ball.
Learning how to work with your partner to create effective attacking opportunities.

Improving ball control

Controlling the direction and height of passes and sets.
Executing standing and jump spikes with greater consistency.

Building rally and game awareness

Using all three touches effectively to keep the ball in play.
Developing decision-making during rallies and basic tactical awareness.

Strengthening teamwork and communication

Learning essential communication calls.
Improving coordination and partnership during 2v2 gameplay.
